Assertiveness for Changemakers--2 upcoming workshops, 1 date change

Join Bonnie Sepora, U.S. State Department Community Solutions Program Fellow from Gaborone, Botswana, for a free workshop for those who seek positive cultural change and want to be assertive changemakers.

Workshop for Youth 12 and Older: Sat. Oct. 23, 10 a.m. to noon Eastern Time. This workshop is specifically geared toward youth. If you facilitate groups of youth, feel free to attend with your youth so you know how to support them. Preregistration is required.

Workshop for Adults: Tues. Oct. 26, noon to 2 p.m. Eastern Time. [Please NOTE the date has changed due to a personal loss.) This workshop is specifically geared toward adults, both professional and volunteer changemakers. Preregistration is required.

Assertiveness can help people express themselves effectively and stand up for their point of view—while also respecting the rights and beliefs of others. Being assertive can also help boost one ‘s self-esteem and earn others’ respect.
