COST
Free! Thank you for helping us test this program in an online format!
FULL DISCLOSURE
This online version includes all the content and learning opportunities of the in-person version.
It is not yet in the online learning management system, so it is still very much a pilot and will be more low-tech than the final version.
The only "homework" will be brief written reflections that only you and the facilitators will see.
We will record the sessions in case someone has to miss all or part of a session. The recording will only be available to RISE and this cohort.
We will do everything we can to make sure the training offers enough time away from the screen to meet your personal needs.
We will be asking people to attend with cameras on (except breaks).
THIS TRAINING ALLOWS PARTICIPANTS TO:
Provide sexual health education to children, youth, and adults, including RISE's Stellar Sexual Health program.
"Stellarize" other curricula so they are more affirming and trauma-informed while adhering to local and state restrictions.
FACILITATOR TRAINING COVERS:
Facilitation best practices,
Tips for making any sexual health ed more accessible to more people,
Strategies for guiding a well-rounded exploration of whole people, especially when cultural norms might challenge scientific and psychological reality.
Electronic access to the middle school curriculum is included for trainees who complete the course successfully.
Sign up to learn:
How to engage participants' imaginations and actively encourage exploration and curiosity.
What curriculum, facilitator, and administration characteristics enhance equity in sex ed--and why that is important.
How to think about human inner and outer space from new perspectives.
All of RISE's sexual health education programs engage participants in an expansive exploration of their inner and outer space. RISE fundamentally changes the way we facilitate sexuality education. RISE dismantles stigma and invites honest, compassionate curiosity about bodies, identities, and relationships.
